The Covington County School District is committed to implementing all federally funded programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Individuals who believe the district has violated a requirement of a federal education program have the right to file a complaint.
Complaints related to federal programs must be submitted in writing and should include:
- The name and contact information of the complainant
- The federal program involved
- A description of the concern or alleged violation
- Any supporting documentation, if available
The district will review and investigate all complaints and will provide a written response within 30 calendar days of receipt.
If the complainant is not satisfied with the district’s response, they may appeal to the Mississippi Department of Education.
