The following notices and documents are provided in accordance with federal and state requirements. These materials are made available to ensure transparency and to inform families and community members of their rights under federally funded programs.

Federal Programs Complaint Procedure

The Covington County School District is committed to implementing all federally funded programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Individuals who believe the district has violated a requirement of a federal education program have the right to file a complaint.

Complaints related to federal programs must be submitted in writing and should include:

  • The name and contact information of the complainant
  • The federal program involved
  • A description of the concern or alleged violation
  • Any supporting documentation, if available

The district will review and investigate all complaints and will provide a written response within 30 calendar days of receipt.

If the complainant is not satisfied with the district’s response, they may appeal to the Mississippi Department of Education.
